My Story
Just in case you wanted to know a little bit about the person behind the binder...
My name's Lily - hello there! I'm a London/Surrey based Independent Wedding Celebrant.
Originally a northerner who made the great migration down to London 11 years ago to train as a Midwife at university.
Well, I didn't stick the midwifery career out - but there's definitely something to be said about the honour of being present at both births and marriages.
I now live in Richmond in South West London with my little boy, our cat and a new puppy Dolly (after the late, great Parton).
I trained with the Academy of Modern Celebrancy in 2024 and have since absolutely fallen in love bringing a couple's story to life in their ceremony!
The whole process of creating a ceremony is just incredible. I still can't believe I get to call this my job!
My favourite part of the whole process (apart from the actual 'I Do's' ofc), has got to be getting to know the couples I work with.
Over the weeks, months (and sometimes years!) leading up to the big day, I love hearing about your love story, what you mean to each other, your loved ones and your hopes and dreams for the future together.
Then getting to be there on your wedding day? Chef's kiss if you ask me.
